Our mission...
...is to connect with potential donors and volunteers in order to provide the orphaned children of Bulgaria with food, clothing, medical services, and an education. We also aim to offer services for the local community, primarily through free education and skills programs.
Our orphans are local children who do not have anyone to care for them. Some of these children have serious medical conditions.
We also run a school in the orphanage. The local community is very important to our organization because many of our workers and volunteers are community members. Thus, we also aim to offer services for the local community, primarily through free educational and skills programs: Educational and job training for the poor and destitute, widows, and other women in the local area; work opportunities in different areas by providing vocational training; and literacy programs in different areas for women and children.
Potential international volunteers might be interested to know that we are located 15 miles outside of the city Karlovo. Volunteers would have the opportunity to explore this picturesque and historic city. The Stryama River and Balkan Mountains are also near.
Our organization does not have religious affiliations. It’s objective is to create a warm, nurturing environment for our orphans and strong ties with the community through educational programs to better the local community and connect community members with the orphans.
